The North American Alphorn Retreat
Established in 2008, The North American Alphorn Retreat is the oldest and longest running alphorn workshop in North America. In addition to our top-notch teaching staff, this event gives you the opportunity to play the alphorn in an unmatched mountain setting.
2024 marks the 17th annual retreat, and we are excited for this to be the best one yet. This year the retreat will take place Wednesday August 07th - Satuday August 10th in Salt Lake City, UT. The final concert will take place as part of Snowbird's Oktoberfest, which is one of the largest in the United States.

The North American Alphorn Retreat is taught using alphorns in the key of F. Alphorns will be available to rent if you do not have an alphorn of your own, do not wish to travel with your horn, or your alphorn does not play in the key of F.

The price for the North American Alphorn Retreat is $375. This fee includes all group lessons. There is a discounted rate of $275 for students enrolled in elementary school- post graduate. The price to rent a horn for the duration of the retreat is $25
